Production Notes: PowerPoint boards

For inexpensive, quick storyboards that can be distributed easily by email, we used Microsoft's PowerPoint to create animatic storyboards.

Sketch artist, Pam Rustic, drew the fantasy scenes - while live action scenes were photographed and converted to line art in PhotoShop.

The PowerPoint slides were easy to update for production and for script approvals from the networks.

Description: "Pirates of the Spanish Main" advertises the world's first constructible card game. Blending live action with 2D and 3D animations, it captures the sense of adventure found on the high seas, and the fast-paced action of this hit game for teenagers and adults.

The fantasy scenes, created by 3D artists John Hudgens and Kian Ng, were designed to transport viewers into the imaginary world of swash-buckling pirates.
